This is a song/poem i have written based on Billy Joels well known song “The Entertainer”

 I am your friendly doctor
I know just where I stand
 Though i am doing well
 And well-known around.
 I may be your champion
I may have won your hearts
 But I know the game,
 you'll forget my name.
 I am your friendly doctor

Things I did not know at first
 I learned by working hard.
 Ah, but the lost fun,
 sometimes haunts me,
 Which you won’t ever see.
So I've learned to do my job,
with a smile on my face
 I write 'em a prescription.
And they go their merry way.
 I am friendly doctor

Been to all the big hospitals,
And I've treated quite a lot,
And maybe I failed in some,
But it never was my fault.
 I can't remember faces,
 I don't remember names.
 Ah, but what the hell
You know me just as well
 'Cause after a while
 and a thousand patients
It has all become the same.
 I am your friendly doctor
I bring to you my sincerity
And a lot of my valuable time.
 But I can't do charity.
As I have already paid my price.
You may ask for a concession.
 But there's bills to pay,
And a lot of necessities to buy.
 I am your friendly doctor

 I do my work tirelessly
It's seen in the happiness around.
Ah, it took me years to learn,
And gave the best years of my life
 Hard and tiring, they’ve been
And they’ve ran far too long.
If you're gonna become a healer,
 You gotta make it grand.
 So they make you pay
 by your blood and sweat.
 So remember,
 I am your friendly doctor

 The idol of many,
 And good at making money,
And I take my fees from you,
You've seen me in the emergency,
 I've been in the ICU’s.
But if I go cold, I won't get sold
I'll get put back in the failure ranks.
 So remember,
 I am your friendly doctor.

 Another new doctor,
 And another shinier comes along
 Today I am your champion
I may have won your hearts
 But I know the game,
 you'll forget my name.
I won't be here in another few years
If I don't stay on top of my job.
