Just seeing a smiley,
On my phone
Send by you
In a carefree mood

Is enough to ignite
A thousand lights
And zap the somnolence
Of my heart

Watching you arrive
After a weary wait
Green tics tantalisingly 
Start turning blue.

And the very few words
You delicately type
Touch my heart
In some unknown ways.

My heart skips a beat,
Eyes light up with joy
As I feel your warmth
Surrounding me.
