As the sun goes high,
Higher up in the sky.
I gather myself
And think of a bath.
As I brush my teeth
In front of the mirror.
I scratch my stubble
And give it a thought.
Still pondering over it,
As I clean my tongue.
I finally contemplate,
I don’t need a shave.

After a long shower
And aborted thoughts.
Of an afternoon fun
With friends at a bar.
I am back to the couch
To watch some show.
But the show is dull
And I start to snore.

Then out of the blue
She arrives on the scene
The lady of the house
Can never be ignored
The rest of the story
I think everybody knows.

Happily married ever after.
