Destination unknown

A constant yearning

Nudges my heart

To leave everything

And just take off

Just travel all day

And stop many times

To chat with mountains

Hills trees and springs

Won’t tell those purple

Giants tall

And low green hills

That run backwards

Not even trees

That give me shade

Nor the springs

That quench my thirst

Will I speak

The name of the place

I’ll lie down under

A dark night sky

Will watch in awe

Many distant stars

They’ll smile at me

Make me laugh

Trying to prod

The name out of me

I’ll smile at them

And fall asleep

Won’t even speak

In my dreams

Name of the place

I am travelling to

Lest all know

And meet me there
