The word “Wineglasses” is used as metaphor for a group of friends. Who grew up together and are very close. But now they stay thousand miles apart and do not meet frequently and are always planning unsuccessfully to have a get-together.

Wineglasses
Far scattered we live
Spread far and wide
Locked by life’s
Little cabinets
We may be dusty
Even cracked a bit
A few may leak
Some cut the lips
A few may whine
Some make no noise
All of different
Size and shapes
But get us close
And pour some wine
We’ll rise in a toast
To reach the lips
And tap our feet
In a joyous dance
