These lines are written in response to a prompt on https://sammiscribbles.wordpress.com/2022/01/29/weekend-writing-prompt-246-saunter/
The prompt was to use the word “saunter” with the limit of using exact 51 words. No more no less. It can be prose or poem.

Saunter
Days gone by
Like blip in the sky
And looking behind
There’s lot I have missed
For mounted on the
High horse
I just raced
Towards the finish
Midways now have
Come to realise
I had missed
The scenery
Now I saunter
Casually at ease
Towards the sunset
Of my life
