Imprinted
Never want your face
To fade away
Ever from my sight
Even if I lose
My sight someday
It would be there
Imprinted large
On the canvas of my mind
Just hope I don’t
Lose my mind
In the last days of my
Journey

Yes. It’s the effect of the Valentines week

Oh I see! Is that a big thing in India?

It is on some pockets especially urban. But nowadays seems to have lost steam. Could be due to the pandemic.

Yes, Covid has put a dampener on many celebrations.

But love is a big thing, as it is elsewhere on the world

That’s true. But expression differs from culture to culture. Some cultures celebrate it openly while others are a bit subdued.

Yes. But then if we leave aside culture and religions, it’s one of the basic feelings. It’s tenderness and intensity is second to none.
Though some people as they grow old tend to cover and hide it under layers of so called maturity. Forgetting that when they were young they had succumbed to its delicacy at least once.
And try to suppress when they grow old, it as we see in different cultures around the world.

Hmm… I guess you’re right Shashi. What I meant was the valentines celebrations. Not all cultures or people celebrate it. I believe that love cannot be attached to one day. Just like a mother or father shouldn’t be honored just one day a year.

True. But sometimes we take even love for granted. And these celebratory days at least make one reflect about its importance on their lives. Sometimes we need to be reminded. And being reminded of love, I don’t think is a bad thing at all.
It’s wearing rose tints at least for a day, if not year around.
