War and peace
A gun goes off, raising hell
A hail of fire, rains somewhere
Planes take off in the air
Dropping loads of intense despair
A missile somewhere finds it aim
Killing dreams in a mighty blaze
And all the shouts of love and peace
Pale in front of cries for war
While many from distance, pray for peace
It’s nothing more than, childish caprice
For peace looks hyped, not a natural state
At the best, an interlude brief
Between ongoing wars

Yes. But the sad part is that, we can do only this much.

This is indeed what we can do.
