Changing Nights

There’s some thing about the night

It’s not the same it used to be

Moments in a bunch

Keep passing in a blink

Not a single one, hanging around

Lingering in the air, just for a while

Evenings are shorter

Just a blip

And before one can think

It’s time to sleep

There’s no relief, there’s no release

Weariness of body, fuzziness of mind

Climbs on the bed

Along with me
