Abyss

Engrossed in myself

Didn’t notice world change

Made me question

Are we exactly moving ahead

Towards light, day by day

For days would have grown

Brighter everyday

As wise people have, in the past said

Instead it’s darker, than yesterday

May be it’s the shadows or giant clouds

Or an eclipse, I comfort myself

But there’s that fear, lurking inside

What if, we have turned

At the roundabout

Towards the abyss of darkness
