Dramatic
Waves rush like kids, after school
To roll on sand and glumly retreat
Few sadly crash, on the rocks
Jutting above, before they reach
Sun gradually dips in the west
Placid end to a fiery reign
Brutal rocks tear into waves
Shattering them to a shower of mist
What’s more dramatic of the two
The sun being swallowed whole
Or futile dance of the waves
To reach the calling shores

That is an ingenious question, Shashi.

Beautiful poem, Shashi! “the sun being swallowed whole” is an excellent visual. Thank you so much for joining in.
