Memories of yesterday

Still turn me on my head

When you had walked in

I watched, lost in a daze

You talked about many things

Not a word, what you felt

Gushed about the trees

And the green landscape

But then that’s not what I

Wanted to hear that day

I wish you had said

Not a single word at all

Just sat across and stared

With an hint of smile on face

In those moments of callings

Truth would have been revealed

I know you won’t say it

In words or in silence

Our lives are tied in knots

And there’s no easy escape

Someday it may happen

Words will find their strength

Till then it’s a wait

Words floating in silence
