Garden Beyond

What do you see, they asked

Pulling off the blindfolds

From my eyes

See a wall rising high

Of bricks, mortar and lime

An arched open doorway

With doors open wide

Floor full of gravel

Could feel them even blind

They said

Don’t you see a garden

Just beyond the door?

Not allowed to be there

I softly replied
