Humanity’s Decline

Have we almost realised That We are a shameBurdening the earthWith our hungry gamesIs there an epiphanyIn some devilish mindOr a death wishFor the humankindWhat does explainThe rise of the tyrantsAnd the March of HumanityTowards inevitable decline©️ShashikantDudhgaonkar

Fires religious and political

Sparks of religionIn ignorant mindsHatred in bloomSycophancy is blindThe woods are readyAnd the Grass is dryFlames will rise with theWeakest war cry.Far and wideAshes will flyOn charred groundsIn the gloomy skyNo life in the endNor a soul savedLeaders and followersAll in their graves.Fires never buildFires never createFires only destroyAnd fires denigrate.

Soldiers

The cries are rabid,Unearthly the howls.Baying for blood,And bloodthirsty growlsBefore urging for warPlease reflect on lifeAnd think of thoseWho will pay the priceOf Widows somewhere Lonely and sad.And innocent ChildrenMissing their DadsThe uniform will travel,Wrapped in the flag.Along with his trunkFor the last time. ©️ShashikantDudhgaonkar

The one you Love

Those nagging timesWould never endHappily ever afterSeems only for the dead.Ceaseless pickingAt harmless habitsCan tie your feelingsInto complex knotsAmidst Dull routinesAnd ebbing Romance.Nonsense squabbles.Start running amok. But once in a whileSmiling in her sleepShe snuggles up to youAnd Melts your heart. In love again,You close your eyesAnd hold her closeTill the morning light.©️shashikantdudhgaonkar
