To the warrior great
Who loves a fight
Who’s always sharpening
Weapons for a strike
And battled all the
way through life
Fighting wars on
Every turf.

I would say to him
slow down a bit
Count your trophies
wounds and scars
The cost of war is
more than death
And more then what
One earns for a win

Just try to amble
In your life
Like cruising on some
Winding stream
And wait and see
Where it carries you
While you enjoy
The scenery.
