A Single Moment Between the Two

When one dances in the rain

Immersed deep in their own

Arms wide gathering feel

Of touch and kiss of falling drops

A tad too brief before one ends

Another one keeps enthralled

Trickling down soaking wet

Clothes too join in the fun

Puddles splash beneath the feet

Tiny running temporary streams

Colour of sky seeping to earth

Everything looses colour and shine

Just shades of one everywhere

Dark some deep some lighter grey

Joining dance trees and grass

Roofs too join with their brass

In this merry unstained world

Too naive and real to last for long

A lightening strike makes one run

Hide inside trembling with fear

One moment turns all upside down

Highs turning into deepest lows

A single moment between the two

Just a single moment between the two
