Beauty in a Mirror

Saw her staring

At mirrors on the wall

That face keeps haunting

When I close my eyes

There’s a serene stillness

Floating on it

Her eyes keep staring

Intently at me

Don’t know if she’s asking

If I see her in dreams

Or trying to show

What she does dream

A beauty raw

Unconventional in ways

An angelic allure

With a sensual sway

Looking at itself

In mirrors on walls

For tiny flaws,

It never really had

Maybe that’s

She’s asking after all

But deep, I have dived

In her hypnotic thrall
