Just as they are born

Hint of smile on her face

Rest of it held

Firmly in check

Furtive eyes

Keep looking around

Something to stare at

To hide their light

Ripples of shyness

Of thrill and delight

Start floating gently

On her face

Before I could

Read them all

They merge into

A beautiful mess

As she swiftly

Scoots by

Can hear her giggles

Ringing bells

An audible sigh

And a dazed look

Is all I am left with

As she escapes

Some moments in life

Are just like ripples

Beginning their end

Just as they are born
