Come September

Come September | Shashi’s Verse

Come September

September arrives, and with it comes the familiar song we so often hear. A beautiful melody that stirs nostalgia in those who have been humming it since childhood, though it speaks of a seemingly insignificant month, one that lingers late in the year.

As time flies and one reaches ripe maturity, age-wise and otherwise, the calendar begins to blur. Months lose their sharpness. Life slows its breathless run and starts walking with deliberate steps. One tends to pause more often, to soak in the journey itself rather than rushing towards some milestone.

It is then that time loosens its firm grasp over our lives. Months, years and days no longer dictate meaning. What matters instead is the present: each day standing on its own, each moment glowing with quiet significance.
