Driving Crazy
Speeding in huge cars
They overtake in a flash
Stare at me
As if seeing a dinosaur
Some pass quickly
Some take all the time
Few smile, most frown
Rest look me down
Coloured hair and tattoos
Prim suit types
Tee’s and casuals
Pass and glare at me
I just wave at them
Give them a big smile
Godspeed to them I say
May you reach in time
Enjoying my drive
Almost reach my town
As I queue at the toll
Meet the same speeding crowd
I look at all of them
And say to myself
No one has to win here
We are just reaching somewhere
