Lunacy
On banks of a stream
Full of stars
Trampled mud
Gave a relieved sigh
Critters emerged
Owls flew by
Fallen leaves
Came alive
Slithering and steps
Hunters on prowl
Prey tired asleep
With just one eye
Ran a wispy cloud
Across the sky
Wanting to hide
Moon on a sly
From dreamy fools
Who look above
Spout string of words
Voluminous and high
It badly failed
In its job
Behind a tiny wisp
Moon can’t hide
Down below
Babble rises high
Moon defeated a foe
That tried to attack
They exclaim and shout
Falling to their knees
As stars shake their heads
At the lunacy

Very interesting scenario created in your poem Shashi
Thanks Sadje for going through it.
But we do see people especially politicians, applauded for doing some inconsequential thing.
Yes, and sometimes for a make-believe that has no ground reality
100 % true
