Moments of Peace
As I drop down on my bed
At the end of a hard day
Physically mentally and emotionally
Drenched in fatigue
Found to my surprise
A few moments of peace
In the inert darkness of my bedroom
As it hid me from world
And the world from me
And a waiting layer of relief
Under the warm sheets
Masking the pervasive weariness
And the fleeting aches
Before I effortlessly dive
Into the silent ocean of sleep
