Philosopher’s High
After a few glasses
On the rocks
When fire after spreading
From throat to the paunch
Reaches the brain
Igniting strange thoughts
Instantly all efforts and toil
And all that’s gained
Earned in life
Starts looking dull
Trivial and waste
For the philosophers great
Asleep till now
Start raising their voice
Inflamed by the high
