With COVID and lockdown life is in a mess. With news of death, the death of a pregnant elephant due to a pineapple laden with ammunition and death of a migrant labour with her child trying to wake her up.
COVID killing at any place
Hospitals, homes and streets.
On rampage virus and lockdown
Life going down the hill
People picking and choosing
Tragedies to shed their tears
Elephant saddens some of them
Some cry for the orphan child
Most see a stick to beat
Opponents across the divide
And silently watch, rest in vain
At humanity’s searing Pain.
