An elaborate bath
Fresh clothes later
It’s time to offer
God our prayers
Head bowed low
Eyes tight closed
Tears almost trickling
Down the cheeks
But as we step
Out of our homes
We return in a flash
To the default mode

Or what we do
Throughout the day
