Silence between us
On meeting after a long time
She kept quiet
Avoiding my eyes she looked sideways
And fidgeted with her mobile
It’s unbearable
When two humans sit in silence
With no words to fill the void between them
This time it started hurting
Battle between expectations and doubts
Started Intensifying with every passing minute
And left me dangling on the edge of insanity
Precariously
After long I broke through the thick clouds
Of hesitations
And begged her to say something
Anything silly or even lies will do
I said
Getting up to leave
She looked into my eyes and said
I think of you always
All the time
