Spellbound

Sitting on the banks of lake

On a full moon night

Silent waves performed a dance

In sync with the breeze

Or maybe

Water was trying to kiss the moon

Pouting its lips

Trees had merged with dark

Their silhouette visible

Against a brighter sky

Illuminated by the moon

There was a lot to see and feel

Stars moon and breeze

And her gaze kept moving across

A display that was cast

On the night sky’s vast screen

Grand humbling and meditative

It was all at once

Though all I did was stare

At the two full moons that were there

Floating in her eyes
