That Cloud in My Sky
sprinkle their heavy load,
their thunder and their lightning
adding to my misery and cold,
that stay etched in my memory
for long.
There’s that solitary one
floating high
in a precious corner of my sky,
never lowering itself,
as if it’s afraid of drowning in bliss
if it comes down a bit,
or turning into heavenly mist
as it drenches my soul.
Sometimes I wish it could grab me
and carry me beyond my horizons,
to places I have never dreamt of.
It’s this single one,
just passing by,
never shedding a drop,
that my heart aches for.
I think of it
each moment awake,
and in every dream I drift through
in my sleep.
