Transit Camp

Transit Camp

Lying on the white crisp clean sheets

Firm mattress with side railings

You feel walls and ceiling white

Closing in with a blank stare

Though doctors smile, nurses talk sweet

You nod your head unable to speak

For there’s a thought raising its head

From calm to storm it mutates

What if, this is a transit camp

Between living and waiting death
