Valentine’s Day

Every day has been a Valentine’s Day

Since the day I found you

Though the promises and hugs and kisses

Don’t always come in that sequence

Nor that frequently

Most of the times they seem not to come at all

Lost in the crowd of never ending chores

And day to day survival

No one is immune from

Honestly I too have not been consistent

With roses and chocolates

And teddy bears

Yet the Valentine’s Day arrives

Not in any earth shattering way

Nor riding rainbow clouds

Rather hiding behind gentler moments

Scattered across life

Sometimes less frequently

Sometimes more

But they do slip in at least expected times

Tenderly

All too silently

Conveying a lot
