What a Fall

Forget about our evolutionary past. We have even forgotten past moments of our lives. Not to speak of history. Which should have taught us a lot. Especially about the terrible mistakes to avoid. Individually as well as collectively as humans. Yet we learn nothing. Remember nothing. And yet proclaim, that we are the greatest of all.

What a Fall

I am a man a women a toddler

A gawky teenager as well as a child

I am a caveman, a scientist a businessman

A farmer and a technocrat

A multimillionaire and a leader I am

An artist as well as a homeless man

A teacher a preacher I am

I am a worker and a manager

And a nomad

I am also warrior

Who has both won and lost wars

All of them run through the arteries

Of what I am now

Yet don’t remember anything

About them at all

Except what I am

In the moment that’s live

Past has been forgotten

What a great fall
