राख

नदी करते गोळा

फुले फळे पाला पाचोळा

आणि बरेच काही

वाहता वाहता

मानव सुध्दा मागे नसतो

एक फरक मात्र असतो

आपल्यात आणि नदीमधे

आपण कचरा गोळा करतो

करत राहतो

आयुष्य जगता जगता

जगणे अवघड असते

क्षणोक्षणी आणि वर्षानूवर्षे

आयुष्याशी झगडतां झगडतां

शरीर नक्कीच झीजते

कदाचित

विचार आणि भावना सुध्दा

आणि सत्य असत्य

अर्धसत्य आणि अल्पसत्य

हवे तेंव्हा

क्षणात उप्लब्ध होत असताना

हातातल्या मोबाईलवर

आपण करतो गोळा

निवडूण कचरा

पुर्वग्रहांचा हेवादव्यांचा

आणि विद्वेषाचा

आणि पेटवून आग

आपल्या मनात

पसरवतो राख

जमेल तेथे

जमेल तेव्हा

Ashes

A river gathers

Grass leaves branches

Flowers and fruits

On its way

To end in the sea

Humans too do that

But there’s a difference,

Between us and the river,

We tend to gather trash

In our journey

Till death

Day to day living

And surviving

For years together

The wear and tear

Degrades our bodies

Perhaps,

Even our thoughts and emotions

And when

Truth is available

When needed

At a finger touch

On our mobiles

We selectively gather

Garbage and trash

Of prejudices and biases

And hatred

Igniting fires in minds

And spreading ashes

Whenever

And wherever possible
