Burn Out

Few lines about burn out syndrome. A major health issue due to the fast and unending race, that life has become nowadays.

Burned Out

Have been travelling so long

On a dull and a dusty road

Had been assured at the start

Someday it would end

It’s not about the driving

The heat rain or snow

Nor about aches or pains

That hatch and just grow

It’s time I

Had some rest

And a calm easy sleep

Where I won’t toss

Turn in bed

Snoring like a pig

And wake up lost

In the dark

Breathless and choked

Half awake half asleep

Not knowing where

Why I was

And who the hell

Should I be

Except a thing

That was clear

An urge to urgently pee

Hand in hand

A desire strong

Not wanting to

Fear is strong

Sleep will abscond

On walking towards the loo

Greater than the growing pain

In a bloated tummy

I indulge my bladder

A few times

Though most of the times

Sleep

For morning next

Old drab wheels await

Same dull road

That refuses to end

Though

I’ll have to be sharp

Alert and awake
