In the Grand Scheme of Things

In the Scheme of Things

Life is a well a spring a river

A stream in a dream

Muddy

If seen with open eyes

For half open and half closed eyes

That can see far beyond

Than dreams and actuality

It’s an ocean far and wide

That falls off towering cliffs

With a deafening thunder

Into an abyss

Impossible to fathom

By any means

Carrying the sun moon and stars

Earth and sky

And all that we know

Along with it

May be it’s a grand scheme of things

Of the universe or what we mean by it

Or something undefined

Entirely beyond our reach
