Getting Lost

Getting Lost

Not all paths

Are meant to reach a destination

Some entice travellers to get lost

Unwind in their winding arcs

And a vivid tapestry

Of delightful experiences

Here beginnings and ends

Delicately entwined

Perform a fluid dance

Strangely seductive

Where do the beginnings end

And the ends begin

Who cares

As long as one savours

Each and every drop

And then there are paths

Rather rabbit holes

Of one’s own deceptive beliefs

  1. Shashi, your poem is a journey in itself! The way you weave the beauty of wandering paths, the dance of beginnings and ends, and the allure of self-deceptive rabbit holes is simply enchanting. It’s a delightful exploration, and I’m happily lost in your words. Bravo!

    • David, I am literally at a loss of words

Coming from you, the one who writes beautiful lines and almost in every existing poetic format, it’s high praise.

Something that will stay with me.

And what I loved about it, is that the compliment itself is beautifully composed and poetic.

      Thanks David.
