Holes In The Ground
Bullets find their targets
With ease
Missiles carrying bombs
Flatten buildings
Digging big holes in the fields
While
There are many who dig
Smaller holes
For their departed
Sons, husbands, brothers and parents
While the world watches
Taking sides
Egging them on, to fight
Providing supplies
To blast bigger holes
And nothing to help dig
The smaller ones

Shashi ~ this is utterly excellent and devastating. Thank you for writing this.
Much love,
David
Thanks a lot David for your appreciation.
We look at the strategic and technological brilliance of wars. Care for wins and losses.
But what about deaths.
Would you mind if I share this as a reblog at some point in the future?
Yes David. It would be an honour actually.
And most importantly the real cost of war needs to be appreciated by people.
The tragedy of human life. Eell written.
Thanks a lot
