In The Long Run
When the wind changes
It’s directions wildly
Do I need to change
Do I need to adapt
When I am not a ship
Crossing the oceans wide
Nor a rock, hillock or a mountain
Nor a blade of grass
What can I do
What should I do
Is survival that important
That I should bend my back
When I know I can think
Know good from bad
Morally and ethically
In the long run
Whether it’s politics
Or religion

Stick to your values even when the world around you is abandoning them. Great poem.
Thanks Sadje. But in a rapidly changing world this is a dilemma everyone is facing.
I know! Standing on principles is not easy. Compromises are the norm here.
