Life is a big Jigsaw Puzzle and made up of many more small ones.

Life is one huge jigsaw puzzle and we spend our lives in completing it. Some try to complete it knowingly some unknowingly.

Then there are daily, monthly, yearly or hourly jigsaw puzzles to complete. In the form of assignments, projects, participations, responsibilities, organisation work, relationships, families, society, etc.,

Even executing one’s duties as a normal human being is a jigsaw. We have to search for the pieces, choose the right ones and try to complete the picture (task).

Sometimes it’s very easy and we find all the pieces almost in a their correct sequence, sometimes we might get stuck after a placing just a few pieces.

Shorter the time to complete the picture, the faster one has to work. Raising adrenaline levels and anxiety.

All this while we are search for the pieces that fit, look for the exact one to fill some gaps and sometimes trying to complete multiple jigsaws at the same time. Like managing career, family life and your own little aspirations.

But there might be other option. Of creating a completely new picture out of the given pieces. Maybe without using all of them or using more of them than allowed. Maybe find some different pieces than given to fit in. If not available then create your own pieces. And in the process creating better, beautiful and even more satisfying picture in the end.

What are your thoughts ?

  1. Like a child who doesn’t follow the instructions on the booklet and makes their own Lego masterpiece. Yes that’s an enticing idea.

    • Yes you got it and at the same time made me aware of profound point. Everyone is a child at heart but then they suppress it under the heavy load of maturity and practicality.

As we age, we think we have grown mature and wise but in reality we have lost the child that was there inside us.

      • Yes most of us do lose that spirit, except a few lucky ones. I know because I try to make it according to the instructions and my grandkids want to make their own way.
