Few lines on the ongoing war in Middle East and Ukraine where people from both sides are suffering

Basement/Underground
No sun or it’s rays
Peering from curtains
That don’t wave
On windows that don’t exist
In a place
Where no light or sound does ever reach
It’s the mobile alarm
That wakes people from sleep
For alarm clocks are antique
Costly and rare
Like peace nowadays
Basements are safe
Much safer than the houses above
Houses explode randomly
Missiles and drones diving down
Passionately
To hold them in an embrace
It’s people’s mistake
If they are present there
Behind the walls below the roofs
For no one wants to kill them
At least
That’s what both sides say
From earth we rise, to earth we go
In between too, some need to approach
Bowels of earth to hide their folks
Especially at night
Day is a different bristling with fear
Yet no one can, hide from their work
For work pays to build and run
Stock with meat and buns
Their basements
