Bloom

Bloom | Poem by Shashikant Dudhgaonkar

Bloom

Orange, yellow, red and grey
flowers bloom in the towns
one here, few more there
many more they say downtown
blossoms unheralded have arrived

Birds dive from the clouds
bees buzz and dart,
night sky filled with falling stars
spring has rushed in rapid strides
to the gardens of war

Context: global conflicts such as tensions involving
Iran–Israel conflict
and wider geopolitical instability continue to influence contemporary reflections in literature and poetry.
