We are in a Hurry

To place someone on a pedestal
or to trample underfoot
We jump at the chance
To achieve it
For we are in a hurry
To assign blunders and wrongdoings
To someone
Find faults in them that may not exist
Or credit others with unimaginable wins
We jump at the chance
To raise any flag
That may try to incite
For we are in a hurry
Working with an efficiency of Chinese industry
Our minds judge, label, and sort
Anyone they come across
Segregating them into compartments
Watertight
And we jump at the chance
To achieve it
For we are in a hurry
We crave heroes,
We crave villains too
For us
No human exists outside of these two
Is it arrogance or insecurity
Anger or envy
Or something else
We don’t know
But one thing is certain
This unquenchable hunger devours us
Digesting our insides

Humans suffer from attributing extremes to their fellow humans
And most of the times nonexistent attributes
Indeed
